Entrepreneurship 101!

Gotta love the nifty bits of innovation and entrepreneurship that is on show here. This one takes first prize in my opinion and may be old news for some. But I'd never seen this before and believe it would do very well in Australia. Easily placed in transport hubs or universities or anywhere really. Get fit while charging your gadgets. This one is at Gare Toulouse-Matabiau (Toulouse Railway Station)

Plug in and peddle.
The other interesting adaption we found was in Sarlat la Caneda in the Dordogne. Simple yet effective and community spirited. A book repository where you can exchange books that you've finished reading for others that you'd like to read or just to pass on old ones for the simple reason you're done with them. There were a few dotted around the city centre and I thought this was another idea that could be easily adapted. I guess we'd have vandals that would bugger the concept up though. The idea is a nice one though.

Help yourself. Return it when you're done. How good is this?

Another clever idea we love is the design concept in our fab farmhouse/barn. What do you do when your barn conversion has a raw sandstone rock face in its ground floor? Some few hundred years ago the old French farmers building this barn would never have considered the problem of the rock face when building as it was only ever intended to house stock or produce or something rural. First world problems became apparent when the reno started but our wonderful hosts incorporated the raw rock as a feature of the living room and it looks great.
