Toulouse has been fun ...

We loved Toulouse; even if our apartment, while gorgeous, was a wee bit small for the five of us. It's an easy City to get around and its history is extraordinarily ancient; even for Europe. Dating back to the 2nd century BC when the Romans had a bit to do with the region. Today it has the biggest space centre in Europe, is the home of Airbus, has Intel as a tenant as it's European centre, houses Thales amongst a raft of other multinational organisations. It's population is a shade under one million and it still feels like a country town rather than an international centre of excellence.

A great example of the brick and stone all over Toulouse

This is part of the abattoirs from the early 1800s that is now an art gallery

Hospital la Grave. Unfortunate name for a hospital. Has been known if since 1197.

One of the shopping strips in the centre of Toulouse. OLD, OLD & OLDER STILL.
