The food has been good too ...

We've had some great meals in Toulouse too. Pacing ourselves we planned for one real meal a day. The other meal, other than a small breakfast, would be at home having cheese and bread and wine or something similar. Some classics and some nouveau.

Cassoulet with Toulouse sausage and confit de Canard

Confit de canard, traditional.

Tarte tatin with crème Chantilly and caramel

We had brunch on Sunday at a tiny cafe that Melind found when she staye inToulouse in 2014. She would come here every day for coffee as it does coffee just like a Melbourne cafe. The brunch was a number of small courses (6, I think) and it was delightful. La Fiancée 54 rue Peyrolieres, Toulouse.

Soft boiled egg with mayonnaise and roasted hazelnuts

Tiny Burger with chorizo and provolone

Chocolate crème with Earl Grey Chantilly.
