We've had some great meals in Toulouse too. Pacing ourselves we planned for one real meal a day. The other meal, other than a small breakfast, would be at home having cheese and bread and wine or something similar. Some classics and some nouveau.

Cassoulet with Toulouse sausage and confit de Canard |

Confit de canard, traditional. |
|
Tarte tatin with crème Chantilly and caramel |
We had brunch on Sunday at a tiny cafe that Melind found when she staye inToulouse in 2014. She would come here every day for coffee as it does coffee just like a Melbourne cafe. The brunch was a number of small courses (6, I think) and it was delightful. La Fiancée 54 rue Peyrolieres, Toulouse.

Soft boiled egg with mayonnaise and roasted hazelnuts |
|
Tiny Burger with chorizo and provolone |
|
Chocolate crème with Earl Grey Chantilly. |
